WIMBLEDON GUILD

At The Priory, we have a strong link with our local day centre for the elderly, The Wimbledon Guild.  This is a local charity which aims to help local people lead a better life, by tackling poverty, supporting ageing and encouraging mental well-being.

Every Christmas, the KS2 choir visit the Wimbledon Guild and sing Christmas Carols to some of the elderly visitors.  This is a lovely opportunity for the children, not only to perform to the community but also to take time to talk to the elderly visitors and find out about a little more about their lives.  

The Wimbledon Guild also visit The Priory in the summer term to watch our annual Year 6 production and have a cup of tea and a chat with some of our Year 6 pupils. 

The Wimbledon Guild is an important charity for The Priory and these strong community links benefit both the children and the elderly hugely.
